Description
The Boloco Heartbreak Hill Grand Prix will begin with a 5K/10K running race along a 5K (3.1 miles) circuit, starting and finishing on Beacon Street in Newton Center and climbing Commonwealth Avenue's legendary Heartbreak Hill. After the running races, cyclists hit the streets on a 2.6 mile circuit using the same start/finish line. The first field of cyclists (Men cat. 4) will race from 1:15pm to approximately 2:15pm. The next field (Men cat. 3) will race from 2:30pm to approximately 3:45pm. There will be a brief kids' race at 4:00pm and then the 52 mile pro men's race will begin at 4:15pm, finishing at approximately 6:15pm.

The Boloco Heartbreak Hill Grand Prix helps the Lance Armstrong Foundation in their battle against cancer. The fundraiser event will bring the community together in a celebration of sport and fitness while also promoting cycling as an eco-friendly form of transportation. And as the 2nd event in the New England Race Week series, the Heartbreak Hill Grand Prix will also be one of the premiere bicycle races in the United States. Top professional cyclists from around the world will descend upon the greater Boston region to compete in eight days of racing across four states with more than $75,000 in prize money and valuable national ranking points. Events will be televised on Cox Sports and NESN. Less than one week before the start of the Tour de France, the entire cycling world will be focused on Newton, MA on Sunday, June 29th. Exhibitor & sponsorship opportunities are still available; please email for more information.
